Yue Sheng was rescued in a slaughterhouse in a market in Wuhan at the end of October 2020. When she was discovered, there were several dogs in the cage waiting to be slaughtered. The GAPI team immediately contacted local volunteers in Wuhan to rush to the scene to buy the remaining dogs. Yuesheng was one of the lucky ones.
